State Incentive: 35% of total system cost as a State Tax Credit up to $10,500
Power Premium from Utility: Georgia Power and many of the EMCs that service Georgia now offer incentives including a rebate for installing solar as well as paying a premium for the power generated.
Commercial users:
Federal Incentives: 30% of total system cost as a Grant or Investment Tax Credit
State Incentive: 35% of total system cost as a Grant or State Tax Credit (this is subject to federal tax)
Power Premium from Utility: Georgia Power and several of the EMCs that service Georgia now offer incentives either as rebates or by paying a premium for the power generated.
Bonus Depreciation: Commercial customers can take advantage of accelerated depreciation for solar property. In the first year, you can depreciate between 60 - 100% of the basis in the property.
